The pomegranate soup...

Since I read that book (I think you recommended it to me Amy) I have been fascinated by this fruit. I had seen it in great quantities in Istanbul, taken tons of photos of it (as Mile witnessed it in Istanbul) and drunk its juice.

But I didn t get a chance before to experience the real fruit and eat its grains. I would say it's a bit like granadilla but bigger and red. Delicious and good for the stomach apparently!

But the real question is "how did I get access to this wonderful fruit?" Well I just happen to have a wonderful "sister" already! This is indeed how I am now considered by Reem (Abullah's wife, remember meshari's friend...). Incredible, I have never met Meshari but when speak over whatsapp it's as if I knew him forever. Bref, Reem nicely called me tonight as I was still at work and offered to bring fresh vegetables. Yes, you heard well! Amazing, she does not know me for more than two weeks and she thinks about me so kindly.

I thought, well really nice of her and then since I was really dying for a bit of greens as the Turkish restaurant, as good as it was, only served meet and bread, I accepted the offer. But instead of a few vegetables I now have a fridge full of salad, the smallest cucumbers I have ever seen and lots of herbs (mint, persley and other great plants) to provide more taste to my cooking.

Conclusion: I'd better get started and put my recipe mode on. I must admit that I had unplugged it over the past months!
The other good news is that Reem seems to know where to go and dance salsa (with an abaya?) and play squash! Can't wait to share these moments with her!
